Berbohong

disengaja ataupun tidak. Tak jarang dijumpai seseorang di antara mereka
saling berdusta dengan yang lainnya hanya sekedar untuk menutupi

kelak, orang-orang yang suka berbohong saat hidup di dunia akan
merasakan azab dari Allah yakni dipotongnya lidah mereka dengan gunting
api, lalu lidah tersebut tumbuh kembali dan dipotong lagi begitulah
seterusnya.
Dari Anas
bin Malik bahwa Rasulullah SAW bersabda, “Pada malam Isra aku dibawa ke
berbagai kaum yang lidah mereka dipotong dengan gunting api. Setiap kali
berakhir dipotong, lidah itu kembali lagi.
Aku
mengatakan, ‘Siapakah mereka itu, wahai Jibril?’ Jibril mengatakan,
‘Mereka merupakan para pembicara dari kalangan umatmu yang mereka
mengucapkan apa yang tak mereka lakukan serta mereka membaca Kitabullah,
tapi tak mengamalkannya’,” (Shahiihul Jami’: 128).
Kebiasaan
berbohong ini tentu saja akan menimbun banyak dosa bagi dirinya sendiri.
Karena setiap perkataan yang diucapkan bertolak belakang dengan
perbuatan yang mereka lakukan. Orang yang seperti ini akan sangat
membuatnya sangat menyesal karena merasakan pedihnya azab dari Allah.
Dari Usamah
bin Zaid, ia mengatakan: Aku mendengar Rasulullah SAW bersabda, “Akan
didatangkan seseorang kemudian dirinya dilemparkan ke neraka. Maka
dirinya di sana berputar semacam berputarnya keledai di tempat
penggilingannya, sampai para penduduk neraka berkumpul mengelilinginya.
Mereka mengatakan kepadanya, ‘Wahai Fulan bukankah engkau dulu di dunia
yang menyuruh kami ke yang baik serta melarang kami dari yang mungkar?’”
Usamah
mengatakan, dirinya menjawab, “Aku dulu menyuruh kalian terhadap yang
baik (tapi) aku tak melakukannya. Serta aku melarang kalian dari yang
kurang baik, (tapi) aku melakukannya,” (Shahiihul Jami’).
