Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda,
وَمَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَلَوْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْرِ
“Barang siapa membaca:
Subhanallahi Wabihamdihi (Maha Suci Allah dan segala puji bagi-Nya)
seratus kali dalam sehari, maka dosanya akan dihapus, meskipun sebanyak buih lautan.”[3]
Mengenai makna buih di lautan. Syaikh Al-Mubarakfuri rahimahullah menjelaskan,
أي ولو كانت ذنوبه في الكثرة مثل زبد البحر الزبد محركة ما يعلو الماء وغيره من الرغوة
“Walaupun sangat banyak dosanya dalam jumlah, semisal buih-buih bergerak yang berada di permukaan air, bisa juga yang lainnya misalnya jamur (plankton).”
Tidak mesti juga membaca harus 100 x dalam satu hitungan, akan tetapi menurut pendapat terkuat bahwa 100 kali adalah akumulasi bacaan dalam sehari. Bisa jadi pagi 30, siang 30 dan malam 40.
Ath-Thayyibi rahimahullah berkata,
سواء كانت متفرقة أو مجتمعة، في مجلس أو مجالس، في أول النهار أو آخره، إلا أن الأولى جمعها في أول النهار.
“Sama saja apakah bacaan tersebut (subhanallah 100 kali) terpisah atau dalam satu kali bacaan, dalam satu majelis atau dalam beberapa majelis. Di awal siang atau di akhir siang. Akan tetapi yang lebih baik adalah mengumpulkannya di awal siang.”[4]
Akan tetapi perlu diperhatikan, jangan dengan ada hadits ini, kita jadi mremahkan dosa, berpikir nanti gampang akan dihapus sebentar dengan bacaan ini.
Al-Munawi rahimahullah berkata,
“فلا يظن ظان أن من أدمن الذكر وأصر على ما شاء من شهواته وانتهك دين الله وحرماته أن يلتحق بالمطهرين المقدسين ويبلغ منازل الكاملين بكلام أجراه على لسانه ليس معه تقوى ولا عمل صالح “
“orang yang mengandalkan terus dzikir ini akan tetapi ia terus bermaksiat sekehendak syahwatnya, melanggar agama Allah dan kehormatannya, Janganlah ia menyangka akan disamakan dengan orang yang dibersihkan dan disucikan, jangan menyangka ucapannya akan mendapat pahala dengan lisannya, padahal tidak ada ketakwaan (rasa takut) dan amal shalih pada dirinya.”
