selalu berusaha keras menggoda manusia agar terjerumus dalam perangkapnya.
Makhluk laknatullah ini akan sangat ketakutan jika
manusia menjalankan ibadah kepada Allah. Namun jangan pikir syetan akan
meninggalkan manusia begitu saja. Mereka akan terus melakukan tipu daya agar
manusia tergoda. Termasuk ketika menjalankan shalat.
Ibadah wajib ini tidak luput dari aksi syetan yang
menyesatkan. Beragam cara dilakukan agar manusia tidak khusuk saat beribadah

Salah satu bentuk tipu daya tersebut ada, syetan
menghinggapkan kepadanya perasaan was-was atau keragu-raguan ketika ada orang
yang hendak melaksanakan ibadah kepada Allah SWT, khususnya dalam hal shalat
ini.
Perasaan was-was tersebut bisa menimpa siapa saja,
tanpa terkecuali seorang alim ulama sekalipun atau orang yang mengerti hukum
fiqih sekalipun. Hal ini tentu saja sangat menggangu kekhusyukan seseorang
ketika menghadapkan diri kepada Allah SWT.
Menurut Al-Ghazali, perasaan was-was tersebut sering
kali menjangkiti manusia ketika mereka hendak membaca niat shalat. Syetan tidak
akan membiarkan seseorang untuk berniat menjalankan shalat secara sah. Selain
itu, syetan juga akan menggoda manusia dengan perasaan was-was tidak dapat
menjumpai shalat jamaah sehingga orang tersebut tertinggal dari kesempatan
mengikuti shalat berjamaah.
Sesudah itu, orang yang sedang shalat juga akan
mengalami perasan was-was ketika mereka melaksanakan takbiratul ihram.
Al-Ghazali mengungkapkan bahwa perasaan was-was ini dapat berakibat sifat
bacaan takbir yang semestinya dibaca. Misalnya saja panjangan takbir menjadi
berlebihan dari ketentuan karena ia sangat berhati-hati.Rasa was-was saat
takbiratul ihram ini juga bisa menyebabkan orang tersebut tidak berkonsentrasi
ketika mendengarkan bacaan Al-Fatihah dari imam.
Seorang Imam Al-Ghazali juga mengansumsikan bahwa
apabila seseorang dilanda perasaan was-was sepanjang dirinya melaksanakan
shalat maka itu mengisyaratkan bahwa ia telah tertipu oleh syetan. Hal ini
membuat dirinya juga tidak menyadari bahwa hadirnya hati (khusyu’) saat shalat
itu ialah sebuah kewajiban.
Menurut Imam Al-Ghazali, penyebab dari perasaan was-was
itu dikarenakan orang tersebut memiliki kehati-hatian yang terlalu ekstrem.
Dirinya beranggapakan bahwa sikap berhati-hati tersebut aan membuat dirinya
lebih baik di sisi Allah SWT. Padahal perasaan tersebut merupakan bisikan syetan
yang ingin mengusik kekhusyukan shalat seseorang.
