bidara. Al Qur'an menyebutkan daun bidara di beberapa ayat:
“Dan golongan kanan, alangkah bahagianya golongan kanan
itu. Berada di antara pohon bidara yang tidak berduri...” (QS. al-Waqi’ah (56)
: 27-29)
"Tetapi mereka berpaling, maka Kami datangkan
kepada mereka banjir yang besar dan Kami ganti kedua kebun mereka dengan dua
kebun yang ditumbuhi (pohon-pohon) yang berbuah pahit, pohon Atsl dan sedikit
dari pohon Bidara." (QS. Saba :16)
Bagaimana cara menggunakan daun bidara untuk mengobati

Wahb bin Munabih, salah seorang pemuka tabi'in yang

Sihir: “Diambil 7 helai daun bidara ditumbuk halus lalu dicampurkan air dan

teguk dan air di ember (yang telah dibacakan ayat-ayat dan juga dicampur
bidara) dipakai untuk mandi, In syaa Allah akan hilang sihirnya.” “Dan
diutamakan membaca Al Falaq, An Naas, juga ditambah Ayat Kursi karena ayat-ayat
itu dapat mengusir Syaitan.”

Selain untuk mengobati sihir dan gangguan jin, daun
bidara juga bisa dipergunakan untuk orang yang baru masuk Islam (muallaf),
wanita haid yang bersuci, dan juga untuk memandikan jenazah:
1. Mandi dengan air yang dicampur daun bidara untuk
mualaf
“Beliau masuk Islam, lantas Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa
sallam memerintahkannya untuk mandi dengan air dan daun sidr (daun bidara).”
(HR. An Nasai no. 188, At Tirmidzi no. 605, Ahmad 5/61. Syaikh Al Albani
mengatakan bahwa hadits ini shahih).
2. Mandi dengan air yang dicampur daun bidara untuk
wanita haid yang akan bersuci
‘Aisyah secara marfu’, “Salah seorang di antara kalian
(wanita haidh) mengambil air yang dicampur dengan daun bidara lalu dia bersuci
dan memperbaiki bersucinya. Kemudian dia menuangkan air di atas kepalanya
seraya menggosoknya dengan gosokan yang kuat sampai air masuk ke akar-akar
rambutnya, kemudian dia menyiram seluruh tubuhnya dengan air. Kemudian dia
mengambil secarik kain yang telah dibaluri dengan minyak misk lalu dia
berbersih darinya.” ‘Aisyah berkata, “Dia mengoleskannya ke bekas-bekas darah.”

3. Memandikan jenazah
“Mandikanlah dengan mengguyurkan air yang dicampur
dengan daun bidara tiga kali, lima kali atau lebih dari itu jika kalian anggap
perlu dan jadikanlah yang terakhirnya dengan kafur barus (wewangian).” (HR.
Bukhari no. 1253 dan Muslim no. 939).
